We are all so saddened by what happened to the Humboldt Broncos hockey team over the weekend. Schools across British Columbia are honoring these athletes on Thursday April 12. We are asking our children to wear green or their favourite sports jersey. Please mark this date on your calendar and join us in honoring these young men.

GR. 4 Students interested in SESSION #2 for Physical Literacy Mon/Wed at 8 am need to return their permission form asap. I am hoping to get them all back by Fri. April 13. Session begins April 25.
FLAG FOOTBALL TEAM- Coaches wanted one more try out session. This will happen Mon. April 9 2:45-4. Team will be posted Tuesday and permission forms will go home right away. The team will also practice Wednesday April 11 at 2:45.
Students interested in PARLOFF will practice this week with Mrs. Swift. Gr. 4/5 is Tuesday at 7:45 am. Gr. 6/7's practice Thursday at 7:45 am. If your child loves to run they need to come out!
DAFFODIL CANCER BOTTLE DRIVE STARTS TOMORROW! Bring us all your empty bottles please! Mrs. Unsworth/Davey's class will be collecting them all for our Leadership cause this month. Please bring them all before Friday April 13th. This is such a great cause. Cash donations are always welcome if that is easier for your family.
SPARK SESSION #2 for our new Kindergarten students is Tuesday April 10 4:30 and 5:45 sessions. We will be meeting in the library this time.
Wed. April 11 is BIKE RODEO DAY for Gr. 2/3 students! They need their bike and helmet for 1:00 on Wednesday. Weather will hopefully cooperate! It is also #LOVEMYSCHOOLDAY on April 11th. Be sure to ask your child why they love Juniper so much! Our Spring Session of Mother Goose begins today from 3-4 pm in the library.
Thurs. April 12- Wear a jersey or Green Day for Humboldt Hockey players. Our Battle of the Books teams head off to the ZONE COMPETITION! Please return your permission forms if your child is one of these excellent readers. We are so proud of these students. Thanks to Mrs. Gorman for taking the team.
Friday April 13- is FLIPPED FRIDAY Spirit Day. Come in backwards attire, wear a hat, - just have some fun with your outfit! Flag Football permission forms will be due back by Fri. April 13. Mrs. DeFehr at Valleyview Secondary for the day ~ learning all about life in Secondary school.
Sunday April 15- JRES Swim Club Practice 4 pm.

Monday April 16 is our KICK OFF ASSEMBLY for the MOST MAGNIFICENT THING! Parents are welcome! 8:45 start. Your child needs a box from home to complete their project. FLAG FOOTBALL TEAM will have practice at 2:45 pm.
Tues. April 17- JRES Swim Club Practice at 7 am, Gr. 4/5 PARLOFF practice at 7:45 am, FIRST FLAG FOOTBALL GAME 3 pm vs RLC AT HOME!
Wed. April 18- ELEMENTARY SWIM COMPETITION AT TCC 9-12:30 am.
Thurs. April 19- PAC HOT LUNCH- SUSHI, Gymnastics session for Marlatt and Storozak 10-11, CUPCAKE SALE for World Wildlife Federation. Track Rotations start for Gr. 4-7 students. BLSC trip for Gatien and Hill's classes 8:45-11.
Friday April 20- Cupcake Sale Day 2. Track Rotations for Gr. 4-7 students. MOST MAGNIFICENT THING OPEN HOUSE for parents to come see our projects 1:30-2:30 in all the classrooms.
